Virtual Roundtable and Discussion on the Implementation of Rules and Regulations of the Extended Producer Responsibility Law

GPCCI held an online webinar on the Implementation of Rules and Regulations of the Extended Producer Responsibility Law on Zoom with Attorney Ivy de Pedro from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, on behalf of Asec Gilbert Gonzales, on March 7, 2023.

March 07 – A Virtual Roundtable was held by GPCCI to have a deeper understanding of the salient provisions of the Implementation of Rules and Regulations of the Extended Producer Responsibility Law which was enacted in July 23, 2022.  

Representing Asec. Gilbert Gonzales and Ms. Juvina Serafin, Atty. Ivy de Pedro, Attorney III and Legal Officer of Pollution Adjunction Board Secretariat, Legal Division under the Environmental Management Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources served as the keynote speaker. Atty. De Pedro gave a thorough explanation regarding the said law to further understand its function, scope, and the mandates it covers.  The speaker also highlighted the importance of registration of the EPR Program and clarified the common misconceptions enterprises might have in regard to the EPR Law. 

The virtual discussion adjourned with a photo opportunity, and an open forum, wherein the attendees forwarded their concerns and queries surrounding the EPR Law which were answered and acknowledged by the speaker throughout the segment.
