The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Nigeria (AHK Nigeria) is pleased to announce that digital skills training under the BeMINT 2.0 Project will officially commence on May 26, 2025. This marks a significant milestone in the initiative’s mission to empower young Nigerians with practical skills for today’s tech-driven economy.

Launched on February 17, 2025, the BeMINT Project which stands for Mathematics, Informatics, Natural Sciences, and Technology (MINT), aims to improve labor market opportunities for youth from low-income households. This project is led by the Empowering Africans through Education Initiative (EAE) and supported by AHK Nigeria. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and Siemens Stiftung.

Key objectives of the project include:

  • Youth Empowerment: Training 400 young Nigerians (ages 18–25) annually in digital, entrepreneurial, and vocational skills.
  • Teacher Development: Training 100 public school teachers to strengthen STEM education delivery in classrooms.

AHK Nigeria is proud to play a role in this transformative initiative, which aims to build a skilled, innovative, and inclusive workforce for Nigeria’s future.
