The German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWE) is facilitating access to external consulting services for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through the "Consulting Vouchers Africa" program (Beratungsgutscheine Afrika). This initiative aims to support SMEs in implementing their economic projects in Africa by providing them with tailored consulting services. Under this scheme, 85% of the costs incurred for consulting services are reimbursed, subject to prior approval of funding applications.

The vouchers covers:

  • Advice on country or sector-specific issues relating to the economic project and/or investment project of the company to be advised in Africa for which the consulting firm/organization is listed.
  • Advice on legal issues relating to the economic project and/or investment project of the company to be advised, for which the consulting firm/organization is listed.
  • Examination of the marketability of an organizational, financial and, if applicable, product-related implementation concept, including the necessary business aspects (business case),
  • Advice on financing the implementation of the project
