The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Nigeria (DGIC) in collaboration with the Afrika-Verein and the Nigerian-German Business Association (NGBA) is organising the 7th German-Nigerian Business Forum.

This annual Forum is aimed at providing an excellent networking opportunity for Nigerian and German businesses and corporate bodies to be informed as well as establish business contacts. In 2011, the event hosted the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel and the then Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan.

Last year, the 6th edition of the event held in Frankfurt with over 150 participants from Germany and Nigeria. This year, the event will hold at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on the 20th and 21st of June 2018. Over 300 business representatives from the private and public sectors are expected to participate in this event.

This event serves as an excellent opportunity for Nigerian and Germany companies to have direct contact with credible potential business partners.

A special focus on Nigeria’s untouched potentials after the economic recession will be an important topic under discussion. Entrepreneurs and experts from selected fields will be discussing and interacting with the audience on challenges, latest developments and opportunities. The following sectors which will be the focus of panel discussions will be discussed in details:

•    Agribusiness (food processing, food packaging and machineries)
•    Energy with a focus on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency
•    Banking, Finance & Investment
•    Oil & Gas and Mining
•    Digitalization and Startups
•    Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET)

Separate workshop on Technical Vocational Education and Training will be part of the event. B2B meetings will be arranged on request.

There will also be opportunities for companies to showcase their products through stands on the foyer.
