The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in collaboration with the Austrian Embassy and the Switzerland Consulate General In Lagos organized the 4th Austrian German Swiss Business Outlook (AGSBO) Survey.

4th Austrian German Swiss Business Outlook (AGSBO) 2019: The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Nigeria (AHK Nigeria) in cooperation with the Austrian Embassy and the Consulate General of Switzerland in Lagos supported by the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Lagos held a press briefing today, 26. June 2019 at the AHK’s conference room in Victoria Island, Lagos to discuss the results of the 4th Austrian-German-Swiss Business Outlook (AGSBO) survey carried out amongst AGS companies operating in Nigeria.

Present at the event were Ms. Alexandra Herr, Deputy Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Lagos, Mr. Yves Nicolet, Consul General of Switzerland in Lagos, Mr. Hannes Scheiner, Commercial Attaché, Austrian Embassy and Dr. Marc Lucassen, Delegate of German Industry and Commerce in Nigeria.

To pool the different perspectives of European companies operating in Nigeria, the official trade associations of Austria, Germany and Switzerland organized a joint survey to get a more comprehensive understanding of AGS companies views on the prevailing business conditions in Africa’s Largest Economy, Nigeria.

The press briefing highlighted the perspective of AGS companies with regards to the current economic climate, challenges and risk affecting their operations in Nigeria, plans for future investment and access to skilled workforce. We expect that through this platform, we are able to pull the government’s attention to these issues and believe that policies can be implemented to mitigate these challenges.
